Business Development Graduate

Full Time, London Based

The Opportunity

As part of SEP2’s dedication to nurturing and developing our staff, we are now on the look-out for university graduates to join our expanding Sales team for the role of a ‘Business Development Graduate’.

Based from our London office, close to popular station London Bridge, you’ll be learning the entire sales process journey, from outreaching to prospective customers, through to gaining experience and exposure in the final stages of an engagement, with plenty of development along the way. 

More About The Role…

As a Business Development Graduate, you will primarily be bringing new customers on board and learning how to make the ever-lasting first impression the SEP2 way.

This means you’ll be getting in contact with potential organisations who could benefit from our solutions and services, striking up conversations, building relationships and positioning SEP2 as the industry experts and technical authority in our market.

Using telephone, email, corporate events and social media, you’ll contact potential customers, develop an understanding of their requirements and convey the value of our services as well as our company.

From the outset, you’ll have the chance to take responsibility for your own projects meaning this is an excellent opportunity for ambitious aspiring sales professionals to take charge and make your mark.

Anything Else?

Other duties will include

  • Updating the CRM
  • Reporting figures and stats weekly
  • Growing your network via social media and corporate events
  • Qualifying prospects through consultative questioning and the understanding of our products
  • Begin to shadow and run prospective customer meetings 


You’ll be starting off on a salary of £24,000 with the opportunity to earn commission. On top of this, we also offer;

The Opportunity

As our company grows and we move from success to success, we are now looking for a Business Development Manager to advance sales of our cyber security solutions.

This fast-paced B2B role will see you identifying new customers and positioning SEP2 as the industry expert and technical authority for cyber security.

More about the role:

This role is all about winning new business, gaining new customers and providing outstanding solutions that exceed expectations.

You will focus on contacting new customers, building rapport and conveying the SEP2 value proposition to business customers.

Working via telephone, email, social media and face-to-face, you will:

  • Identify and understand customers’ IT Security requirements, pitching the benefits of best-fit solutions
  • Explain the value of the solution via online demonstrations, on-site meetings and product evaluations
  • Work alongside other SEP2 team members to assist you in delivering the value proposition
  • Negotiate the best pricing
  • Assist the customer in building a business case
  • Process sales once they are successfully signed off
  • Ensure high-quality projects are always delivered

Commission and Accelerator Plan breakdown:

Target are based on Gross Profit.

50% of target = 10% of GP Paid in commission
100% of target = 20% of GP paid in commission
Once annual target is achieved all barriers are lifted
100% of target achieved by the end of Q3 = Presidents clubs of weekend away

Bonus = every £1 over 125% of target is paid at 30% each quarter.

What Will You Need?

To be considered as a Business Development Manager, you will need:

  • Experience in B2B sales (ideally within the cyber security industry or similar)
  • Self-motivation, enthusiasm and drive
  • Strong English communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work collaboratively with those directly responsible for cyber security

This is an incredible opportunity for a proven B2B sales professional to advance into a Business Development Manager role. You’ll have the chance to join our exceptional sales team, making an impact and earning superb, uncapped commission along the way.

We’ll support you to understand how we do business and provide the tools for you to gain the experience to bring you up to speed. What’s important is the right attitude and your aptitude for sales.

Central Response Team Manager

Kieron has been with SEP2 since 2019 and works in our support team.

For Kieron, there is no typical day at SEP2, for one day he can be working through open tickets, another day you could be working on a priority case for the duration of the day, and another day you could be working on an ongoing project, but what Kieron enjoys is that the mix of challenges keeps the role fresh and interesting.

Kieron likes that within the support team everybody works well together, and shares knowledge between every level and are constantly being encouraged to learn.

In his spare time, Kieron’s current favourite hobby is working on his allotment, which gives him a nice change of scenery and a break from technology.
