Cyber Security Apprentice (Level 4)

Overview

Hybrid working – 2 days in the Leeds office, 3 days working from home
Working for one of the UKs fastest-growing specialists in Cyber Security products and services, the successful candidates will work within the Security Operation Team and will be responsible for supporting leading security solutions and services for our clients. The candidates will need to not only be technically minded but also be adept in documenting their work.
The successful candidate will be enrolled on a 24 Month Apprentice programme in Cyber Security. Which will consist of eLearning, virtual classroom, and on-job learning.

Salary

With a starting salary of £16,000 which is reviewed and managed through a personal development plan and salary increases achieved through meeting KPI milestones:

  • 6 months: £17,000
  • 12 months £18,000
  • 18 months and successfully completing the apprenticeship £20,000

Key tasks

  • Work as part of the team to maintain internal systems and services
  • Provide technical assistance and support to customers in a range of Cyber Security solutions
  • Work within the security operations team to manage cyber security solutions defending customer infrastructure from exploitation and cyber-attacks.
  • Producing high-quality technical customer services

Essential Skills/Experience

  • No specific experience is required but an interest in Cyber Security would be advantageous.
  • Understanding networks/networking would be advantageous.
  • Familiarity with Linux and Windows operating systems advantageous.
  • Good written and verbal communications skills are essential.

Personal Attributes

  • Self-motivation to learn, improve and keep up to date with technologies and concepts within the security industry.
  • A ‘Can-do’ attitude.
  • Ability to build and deploy technical lab scenarios using industry-standard tools such as virtualization and physical hardware, with support and instruction from SEP2 as a part of the apprenticeship.

Digital Marketing Apprentice

Overview

Hybrid working – 1 day in the Leeds office, 4 days working from home.
Working for one of the UK’s fastest-growing specialists in Cyber Security products and services, the successful candidate will work within the Marketing Department supporting the Digital Marketing Executive in executing the marketing strategy.
The Digital Marketing Apprentice will work alongside other colleagues and external stakeholders and be responsible for assisting in the successful marketing of the business. Their work will increase the number and value of leads for the company, whilst augmenting its brand awareness.
The successful candidate will be enrolled on a Level 3 Digital Marketer Apprenticeship lasting 18 Months. The apprenticeship course will consist of eLearning, virtual classroom, and on-job learning.

Salary

Senior Cyber SOC Analyst

Specifically, working within the security operations centre, your role will involve:

  • Maintain and enhance customer security tooling to improve detective capability
  • Influence the build-out and continuous improvement of our security operations processes
  • Respond to customer requests for security monitoring and recommend/devise detection rules

What Will You Need?

To be considered as a Senior Cyber SOC Analyst, you will need:

  • At least two years experience as Cyber SOC Analyst or two years experience in a similar role
  • Proven experience of delivering positive outcomes on SIEM (Security Information and Event Management) technology. This is preferably LogRhythm, but other SIEMs will be considered
  • Background knowledge in administering Microsoft Windows Server
  • Background knowledge in other IT disciplines (e.g. Public Cloud, Linux, Networking)
  • Exposure to, and some experience with, scripting tools such as Powershell, Python or Bash and RESTful API’s (Application Programming Interfaces)
  • Exposure to data manipulation (e.g. Regular Expression, JSON)
  • A “customer-centric” attitude, with the ability to communicate with both technical and non-technical parties effectively
  • The ability to build credibility quickly with colleagues and customers
  • Some experience with IoT security will be an advantage

Your Rewards

You’ll be starting on a basic salary of £16,000 which will increase throughout your apprenticeship to £20,000. Senior Network Security Engineer

Accounts Assistant
