We are excited to announce that we have been nominated for three of the upcoming CRN Sales & Marketing Awards, taking place in July 2022. The CRN Sales & Marketing Awards consist of prestigious awards, dedicated to recognising the achievements of individuals and teams responsible for making the UK IT channel great.
The past year has been exceptional for SEP2 in terms of growth, profit, building a strong brand and strengthening the great culture within the business. When the categories were announced, it seemed like a no brainer to put ourselves forward for three of the categories where we felt the criteria strongly reflected SEP2.
Best Graduate and/or Apprenticeship Scheme – Reseller
We started our apprenticeship scheme in 2020 with one Business Development Apprentice and two Cyber Security Engineers. Up to now we have hired 13 apprentices across the company in various departments, all of whom are eager to learn and contribute the success of SEP2. Whether you’re in the Sales Team booking meetings with companies to discuss our services, or in the Technical Team fixing problems for our customers, everyone is a valued member of our team and crucial to giving to the best possible service to our customers.

We believe in supporting our people in their journeys and in 2021 brought in a ‘People Team’ to ensure we were giving our teams the best support. With consistent 1 to 1’s and personal development plans to ensure we cater to personal needs, assist with personal development, and give constant support, SEP2 make sure people are happy in their roles. We also highly encourage 2-way feedback in our 1 to 1’s so everybody is always improving and learning.
At SEP2 we further encourage continuous improvement by offering great opportunities to our team. In 2021, we brought in new teams and roles at SEP2 including a Marketing Team, a People Team, and two new roles within the Sales Team. Including this, we had an intake of 8 apprentices, meaning 13 out of 40 of our people are SEP2 apprentices, ranging from the ages of 17-30.

The SEP2 Sales team consists of a number of incredible people with a wealth of experience and several fresh faces to the industry who are passionate and excited about the future of cyber security. In the past year, the team have shown great commitment, and from that they have been extremely successful. The challenges thrown at us during the pandemic were handled fantastically by our sales team, who turned difficulties into opportunities instead. In 2021, SEP2 grew not only in terms of profit, but also the size of the sales team. The team doubled in size, with a new apprenticeship programme launching and new roles being developed within the business. Last year we were also lucky enough to receive awards for both Check Point & Log Rhythm rising star awards, and were also promoted to become a 5* Partner with Check Point.
The past year hasn’t gone without its challenges, but we are extremely proud of everyone at SEP2 who has contributed to our joint success. We wish all other finalists the best of luck for the CRN Awards.
