CRN Sales & Marketing Awards Winners!
CRN hosted their annual awards ceremony for the CRN Sales & Marketing awards last week in London. There were hundreds of attendees from across the IT Channel at the event, hosted by comedian and presenter Aurie Styla.
When the categories for the CRN Sales & Marketing awards were announced, three of them caught our eye. We spoke to our employees and partners to put together our submissions, showcasing why we thought SEP2 deserved to win. We then went on to be successful in two of the categories and were named Best Company to Work For (sub £100m) and Best Apprenticeship/Graduate Scheme!
SEP2 was founded in 2016 and has shown tremendous growth, particularly in the past year. In 2021, we introduced new teams to SEP2: the People Team and the Marketing Team. As well as this in terms of employees, we have grown 165% from 2021 until now. Recently, there have been more changes in the business, during the Spring and early Summer of 2022, SEP2 formally established their Senior Leadership Team, which you can read more about in our Senior Leadership Team update blog.
Best Apprenticeship/Graduate Scheme
Starting our apprenticeship scheme was also a big step for us at SEP2, we started our apprenticeship scheme in 2020 with one Business Development Apprentice and two Cyber Security Engineers. Up to now we have hired 16 apprentices across the company in various departments, all of whom are eager to learn and contribute to the success of SEP2. Whether you’re in the Sales Team, booking meetings with companies to discuss our services, or in the Technical Team, fixing problems for our customers, everyone is a valued member of our team and crucial to giving the best possible service to our customers. We currently have 16 apprentices working and learning with us and we are already planning our next intake of apprentices.

Being named as The Best Company to Work For (sub £100m) by CRN was truly astonishing. At SEP2 we align ourselves with world-class cyber security vendors who reflect our own values through what they do, and here at SEP2 we live and breathe our values of passionate, honest, tech driven, people powered, and committed to doing good. In 2021, SEP2 introduced August Personal Days, where the Directors chose to give the people of SEP2 one day off a week, every week in August. James, a Business Development Apprentice, said: “Taking personal days increased my productivity because it gave me time to reflect on the work I completed during working days and focus on positives. It also helped me organise my personal life, so I had fewer distractions during the 4 working days.”
There are more CRN Awards coming up, such as the CRN Women & Diversity in Channel Awards where we have 2 employees nominated for the following awards: Diversity Champion of the Year, Woman of the Year, Marketing Employee of the Year, Unsung Hero, and Rising Star of the Year, the shortlist is to be announced at the end of July so keep your eyes peeled for updates!
