This year has been filled with positives for SEP2 as we have continued to grow and evolve as an organisation. In this blog we have covered some of our highlights of 2022.

Exhibited at InfoSec 2022

Back in June, SEP2 exhibited InfoSec Europe 2022 at the ExCeL in London. InfoSec brings together the best of the best in Cyber Security, all under one roof. As this was our first in-person event after Covid pandemic, we were all very excited at the prospect of getting to chat face-to-face.

Winners of two CRN Sales and Marketing Awards

In August of this year, CRN hosted their annual awards ceremony for the CRN Sales & Marketing awards in London. There were hundreds of attendees from across the IT Channel at the event to celebrate the work and effort that goes into sales and marketing. SEP2 were shortlisted for three categories and went on to win two awards – Best Company to Work For (sub ÂŁ100m) and Best Apprenticeship/Graduate Scheme. Read more here.

We also had two of our employees shortlisted as finalists for the CRN Women and Diversity in Channel Awards. Mahreen Jamil was shortlisted for Unsung Hero, and Payten Stockton was shortlisted for Marketing Employee of the Year. We are continually looking for ways to celebrate and promote the success of women and diversity in the Cyber Security industry. Read the full story here.

Partnered with Google Cloud Security

Chronicle Google Cloud Logo

Earlier this year, SEP2 partnered with Google Cloud Security to offer our customers their global security telemetry platform, Chronicle, which is used for investigation and threat hunting within an enterprise network. You can read more about Chronicle and its many advantages here.

Launched SEP2.security, powered by Google

One of our landmark achievements of 2022 was the launch of our own modular MDR solution, SEP2.security. Based on the Google Chronicle SIEM platform, bolstered by the functionality of the Google Siemplify SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation and Response), SEP2.security allows your security team to get top-tier insight into potential threats, with the SEP2 Security Intelligence Services team at the helm to respond to and assess events. You can read more and book a free demo with one of our experts here.

Exhibited at DTX 2022

In November, we exhibited at DTX 2022. Just like InfoSec, our team loved meeting lots of new and interesting people within the IT industry. We often say that we are People Powered, these in-person events are a great way to see our greatest asset as a company – our people.

Check Point Partner Awards Gala

On Wednesday 25th May, Check Point hosted their annual Partner Awards Gala evening. An amazing evening celebrating the work and achievements of Check Point Partners.

Check Point Awards

SEP2 received the Special Recognition Award which honours the work that the team put into the special partnership we have with Check Point. Check Points Charlotte Nicholls said, “this organisation is so enthusiastic about working with Check Point, they bring such an energy and it’s been recognised how much they care.” Our Head of Technical Services, John Tammaro, also won the MVP: Technical Star Award. Our apprenticeship scheme is growing and award-winning

Over the past year, SEP2 has continued to hire new apprentices across multiple departments. We believe that apprenticeships offer the perfect route into the Cyber Security industry and help to bridge the skills gap in tech. In February, we celebrated National Apprenticeship Week with a range of blogs about our apprenticeships as a whole:

Here, you can read more about our award-winning apprenticeship scheme on our dedicated webpage.

Kieron

Central Response Team Manager

Kieron has been with SEP2 since 2019 and works in our support team.

For Kieron, there is no typical day at SEP2, for one day he can be working through open tickets, another day you could be working on a priority case for the duration of the day, and another day you could be working on an ongoing project, but what Kieron enjoys is that the mix of challenges keeps the role fresh and interesting.

Kieron likes that within the support team everybody works well together, and shares knowledge between every level and are constantly being encouraged to learn.

In his spare time, Kieron’s current favourite hobby is working on his allotment, which gives him a nice change of scenery and a break from technology.
